OK BUT WHAT CRAFTS + ART DO WE EVEN DO AT A GLITTER FACTORY? IS IT ALL GLITTER?!
Weirdly we rarely actually craft with glitter (microplastics and all that!). The glitter is actually a metaphor for dopamine and the brain glitter we get from unplugging from technology and learning new hobbies, crafts, and art projects!
We have 10+ open studio stations that are set up with everything you need to make and take projects you actually love! It’s a little bit like the science center - you get to explore different things OR you can obsess and sit at one station!
$20 for two hours - all humans over age 3. We like to say our studio is a bit of a all sensory experience with something for literally everyone. The factory is inclusive, accessible, and sassy af. There’s no getting around the magic in here - meaning you don’t HAVE to craft but we totally encourage you to give it a shot! Every single station is designed with the ultra beginner in mind but with enough fun and excitement and technique to interest a professional artist.
We believe pretty firmly that it doesn’t matter what you make or how good it is. That, actually…doesn’t matter at all. The magic is in the making. In disconnecting. In creating something with your hands and focusing on something for a little while. It’s good for your brain. (Need receipts? Say less.)

We are located 3 blocks south of MLK in downtown Des Moines! We have accessible, free, off-street parking and facilities! You’re welcome to visit before or after the farmer’s market and come grab your car after! Most of our business neighbors are closed in the evenings and we’re glad to have ya! Welcome to the downtown Spoke neighborhood!
